From Piedmont to Sarasota
Born in Pallanza, Piedmont, Andrea grew up with the simple pleasures of Italian food: vegetables from his grandparents’ garden and fresh eggs from their farm.
By 15, he knew he wanted to become a chef. He studied at the hotel school in Stresa, building the foundation for a lifelong passion for cooking.
A vacation brought him to Sarasota in 2002. Drawn to Siesta Key and the city’s energy, he made Sarasota his home the following year.
A Passion for Honest Ingredients
Andrea spent his student years studying by day and working in local hotels and restaurants by night. After graduation, he travelled the world as a chef aboard Princess cruises.
Andrea’s on Siesta Drive brought his dream to life: a restaurant built around quality ingredients, local produce, wild-caught fish, and a commitment to a sustainable menu throughout the year.
Homemade breads and pastas, ingredients from a little mill in Napoli, and an extensive selection of wines and cheeses bring his Italian roots to the table.
